The HNC and HND in Computer Networking are designed for people who wish to pursue a career in computer networking, or who require a better understanding of how modern networks are constructed and managed. The course provides a broad experience of current and emerging networks technologies. The HNCĀ in Computer Networking consists of 12 credits as follows:
- Hardware Concepts (1 credit)
- Operating System Concepts (1 credit)
- Client Operating System (2 credits)
- Network Server Operating System (2 credits)
- Network Concepts (2 credits)
- Server Concepts (2 credits)
- Internetworking Concepts 1: Development and Delivery Concepts (1 credit)
- HNC Project (1 credit)
The HND in Computer Networking consists of the units already completed in the HNC plus a further 18 credits as follows:
- Internetworking Concepts 2: Security and Business Concepts (1 credit)
- Networking Technology (2 credits)
- Routing Technology (2 credits)
